Mapview offers route optimization for routes with more than three flexible meeting tasks. You can optimize routes that have a combination of set appointments and flexible meeting tasks. Mapview's optimizer will work to fill in the gaps around set appointment times making you more productive while on the road.
To optimize, simply tap the 'Optimize' button at the bottom of the 'Trips' window and choose between the three different optimization options: ‘Time’, ‘Distance’ and ‘Balanced’. Time favors the fastest route, distance favors the shortest distance and balanced combines the two.
*When using Schedule Optimizer, please make sure you follow the guidelines below:
1. Use of Schedule Optimizer requires a strong wifi or cellular connection.
2. Your visits and appointments must have valid addresses associated with them.
3. All of your visits must be at locations that can be reached within the trip start and end time.
4. You can select between 3 to 25 stops to optimize.
