Mapview's grouping feature helps you visualize specific types of customers or prospects on the map. Utilize custom and external groups to organize your data. Below, learn how to access the grouping menu and the difference between the group types.
Getting Started with Groups
To access groups, open the Mapview main menu and tap ‘Filters’. To visualize specific groups on the map, tap the group on/off. Groups not being shown on the map are in gray.
Group Types: Custom and External
Custom Groups
Custom groups are created directly in Mapview and are local to your device. Mapview automatically generates a custom group called ‘Unassigned’ that allows you to view all your contacts that are not placed into a group.
External Groups
External groups are generated from external contact sources, such as Exchange or Gmail, that are synced with your device address book.
When you log in to Mapview for the first time, you will be asked to choose groups to sync from your device. The groups you choose to sync will automatically be assigned a custom map pin and will appear in the 'Filters' menu under 'External Groups'. Below the group, you will see the source of the group, such as iCloud or Exchange.
*Any contact imported from an external source that is not part of a group will be placed into the custom ‘Unassigned’ group.
