Filter groups to visualize specific types of customers and prospects on the map in Mapview. Group filtering helps you plan and prioritize as you set up your day. Learn about basic group filtering, advanced group filtering and how-to bookmark your favorite filters.
Basic Group Filtering
View specific groups on the map with basic group filtering. Turn groups on/off by tapping the group name. Groups not displayed on the map are grayed out, maps displayed on the map are in full color.
Advanced Group Filtering
To view even more specific information, use Mapview's more advanced filtering capabilities. To start, tap the ‘Qualify by’ area at the bottom of the ‘Groups’ window.
Here, you will be able to create data filters based on groups created in Mapview. In the filtering menu, you will now see custom and external groups. Choose a field, then tap ‘Require’ or ‘Exclude’ to either add or exclude that criteria from the filter.
What is Require v. Exclude?
Require
Require is like the AND function in a search. If a contact is a part of two groups such as ‘Account’ and ‘Opportunity: 100k+’, when I require ‘Opportunity: 100k+’ and turn on my ‘Account’ group I will only see the contacts that are ‘Accounts’ AND part of the group ‘Opportunity: 100k+’.
Exclude
Exclude is considered like the ‘NOT’ function in a search query. Example: I want to see all my ‘Accounts’ NOT ‘Contacted’.
Bookmark Group Filters
After you have created a filter, bookmark the filtering criteria for quick application. To get started, tap the bookmark icon in the upper right-hand corner of the groups menu. Then, name the filter and tap ‘Add Bookmark’. Tap ‘Save’ to finish.
